Do You Know Whats in a Texas State Map?
You will need more than a Texas state map to truly appreciate the dynamic state of Texas. When people talk about Texas they usually think of Ranches, Cattle and country. There is much more to Texas than any amount of details I can give, so you will have to experience Texas yourself. For now, I am going to share only a few of my thoughts about this “larger than life” state of Texas.
I do believe we have it all in Texas! I could name a few of the many wonderful Colleges we have right off the top of my head; Southern Methodist University, A & M, University of Texas in Dallas, Baylor University (Dallas and Houston), Texas Women’s University and more. Some of these colleges may actually be on certain Texas state maps.
Entertainment throughout Texas is phenomenal!
When we were looking for a Texas state map to find Austin, it did not show the fact that it is a little talent pool of musicians and artists or that it has the most wonderful atmosphere for those of us that are the laid back types. If you like style and quality over quantity, Austin is a very nice, natural place to be. You don’t see that on a map! Constantly being developed, Dallas never stops growing! Think of the entertainment and nightlife in a city that is always evolving. The revitalization of downtown is booming with coffee shops, unique bars, casual and upscale restaurants and they are consciously re-developing in a way that is pedestrian friendly. In addition, there is great shopping in Uptown, Addison and North Dallas areas that are fun and always happening, and within minutes of each other!
There are diverse cultures throughout the state of Texas that really offer variety and dimension to our communities in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Houston and then everywhere in between. I believe this shows the popularity of Texas as a destination for opportunity. Again, if you look at a Texas state map it is impossible to see everything this wonderful state has to offer. What are you looking for? Whatever it is I am sure you will be able to find it in Texas, except for mountains, but there is the gorgeous area called Hill Country right outside of San Antonio!
If you are coming to Texas for a vacation, I would suggest that you find a way to do a tour of Texas. I don’t know if you will be able to find a Texas state map like this, but if you stick with the goal of trying to see as much of Texas as you possibly can, I believe this will enhance your vacation experience through finding and learning quite a bit of the cultural diversity Texas has to offer.
Please, don’t be fooled by what you see on a basic Texas state map, television, or the way people still like to display Texas. Many people have lived here their entire lives in Texas and still have yet to see every aspect of this wonderfully large state.
My suggestion for a vacation would include doing a tour of Texas or more than one attraction in a day that will keep the entertainment flowing. There are enough fun things to do in Texas, whether it’s for a vacation or even a short getaway, you won’t be disappointed.
