Easy Goal Setting - Goal Setting Part 1

On to a new year, a lot of people with find time to set goals for 2007. Its a good thing to do at every start of the year. Setting goals is a well known method of success by people who excel like athletes, businessmen and other achievers in their own field of expertise. Moms at home are also included! You have the best job of them all and that is raising future leaders, so be ready for it by setting and seeing these goals into frution - for your children and you.

In setting goals, the first thing is to be as a Mom focused for each particular day. Goal give quick and long term motivation as you set your schedules. The goals I set help me save time and help to utilize my resources properly so that I stay focused on the tasks. This gives me a chance to enlighten myselft and share that knowledge with my kids.

WHY SET GOALS?

We keep thinking, why do we set goals? God will help me and I fully trust him to light my way. Discovering a great truth as you believe in him to guide your way. But, having goals set in short and long term ones will help you measure your progress as you bring up your children in Christ. As your goals are met, you will be further motivated to follow God’s path.

Don’t you feel great when you cross something off your list? I sure do! It’s the same way with goals. As you complete short-term goals, you begin to see accomplishment that leads to that fantastic feeling or realizing your final goals.

Ever got through the day feeling like there’s something lacking or was just a perfect waste of time?

Setting goals helps remove that feeling of incompleteness and pointless outlook. I think you know what I mean of being on a pointless outlook.

GOAL SETTING BASICS - WHERE SHALL I START SETTING MY GOALS?

1. Think what you really want for your children and yourself or the things you need to accomplish to get a jumpstart on raising your kids to become future leaders of God. This should be forefront of your goals, your life goals.

2. List short term and long term goals necessary for you need to achieve lifetime goals. Make a chart with each person at the top of your chart.

3. Turn those goals into manegeable chunks that are easy to complete. These sub-goals will be under the first goal at that particular week only.

4.Write the activities you’ve done, everyday, so that you can meet your goals. You can begin on the first month, again, breaking it to manageable chunks of weekly activities. On a Sunday or a Monday, write down your everyday activities for the particular week only.

5. Once you’ve obtained your list, go directly to working on your goals.
