Andy Grove, former CEO of Intel, once said “Dive deep into the data, then trust your gut.”

If you believe you are good, and you are smart, you can go with your gut. You need to go against the tide. Some of the best business people made it big because they went against what everybody else believed.

You have to know what you’re doing, you have to have confidence in yourself. You need to know, your biggest successes will come when you make your own path.

Everybody has instincts. It is very important to know how to use them. You might have academic credentials, but if you can’t use your instincts, you will have a hard time getting to, and staying at, the top.

Nobody can explain exactly how or why instinct works. Sometimes we just get a feeling about what we are about to do, but don’t know why we feel such a way. Successful people know they have good instincts, and they rely on them for decision making - rarely understanding why.

Scientists say that there are nerves in the gut which are connected to the intuitive part of the brain. When your subconscious is trying to influence your decision, you can actually feel it in your gut, which explains common phrases like, “I had a GUT FEELING about the Global Resorts Network and went for it”

Going with your instincts takes practice, first you must decide you are going to tune in to them. Instincts are a part of every highly charged situation that matters a lot to you. Tuning in to them requires extreme focus.
