Daily “to Do” List For Your Goals- Goal Setting Part 3
Daily lists save me a lot of time and effort. As I keep working on my goals and priorities, I use daily lists to stay on track. It’s here that my day to day list become useful.
What will you do now? Make a “to do” list for today and the succeeding days. Each sunrise I keep a blank empty paper near me as I read the Bible. When a nice idea strikes me, I immediately put it in writing. This way it keeps me targeted on God and helps me remember those “to do” tasks later in the day. When I’m finished reading, I check my list and compare it to my weekly goals.
I’m not sure what you experience, but in mid-afternoon, my brain gets so drained I can’t remember what I need to do. It even happened yesterday. I ended up wandering around the house trying to come up with what I forgot.
What am I to do when I can’t remember? I go look for my early morning list and see what isn’t crossed off. It helps as a memory aid because I tend to forget as I get older.
Always review your plans and prepare for any changes. As a mother, you know you must have a contingency plan in case something unexpected happens. When my eldest child was born, I heard that moms should list their “to do” tasks on a sequence of days. If the task isn’t done on the first day, then I still have another day to get it completed. You won’t need to feel guilty about this. In no time, you’ll achieve your goals.
A lot of us are somewhat relaxed with our schedules during the first of the year, whether you homeschool or not. It is the time to set goals for this new year. Get a pen and paper and start fulfilling your dreams. It’s something that you’ll be very happy about.
