How to Make Green Smoothies Taste Great
Do you love smoothies? Even if you do, there’s a fair chance you haven’t heard about green smoothies yet. If that’s true, you are really in for a treat. These things are so good, you might even be able to get your whole family eating healthier green veggies.
The first thing you may be wondering is what in the world a green smoothie is. There is no exact answer as there many different recipes to choose from. At the very basics green smoothies are any fruit smoothie that also includes green leafy vegetables.
Most people know that eating greens is good for you. Even so, there are many people who don’t find or make the time to include them in their diets. This is due to a variety of reasons; one of the most common is time restraints.
But when you make a green smoothie, eating your leafy greens is as simple as drinking something! Who in the world doesn’t have time to drink something simple? You’ll be benefiting from a lot of nutrients and it will taste great.
One of the best times to drink a green smoothie is at breakfast. You’ll have more energy early in the morning thanks to those vitamins and minerals.
You will be shocked at the amount of focus you will achieve. Not to mention the lack of fatigue! All that fiber doesn’t hurt either right?
If you’re super excited about green smoothies you’re probably ready to know which ingredients goes into making them. Again, there is no set answer but there are some that are fairly common.
Examples of greens you might use include: Lettuce, Spinach, Chard, Cale
You’re probably all ready to give this a try if you already love these ingredients. But if they’re making you wrinkle your nose in disgust, read on! If you love fruit, it gets a lot better.
Along with these greens it is a good idea to use fruits as well. Not only will they mask some of the leafy flavor (if you don’t enjoy it) but it will also pack another nutrient punch. There are an unlimited number of different fruits to try.
Some of the favorites are: Bananas, Strawberries, Mangoes and Blueberries
You can come up with all sorts of combinations that you and your entire family will enjoy. You may even want to get your kids involved in eating healthier.
Smoothies have such a delicious novelty that it shouldn’t too hard to convince everyone. Green smoothies are only as good as their recipes, so it is a great idea to read some as a starting off point for developing your own.
