Easter is a traditional Christian celebration of the time when Jesus Christ was crucified on Good Friday, only to return to life three days later on Sunday. Easter ends the period of Lent that began on Ash Wednesday. Lent is meant to be a period of atonement, to allow churchgoers the chance to prepare for the church’s most important festival of the year.

Eggs have been the most common Easter gift over the years and are the most recognizable Easter symbol. They symbolize a birth and a new life. Easter eggs have always been decorated with beautiful colors and used for Easter games. They have also been given as gifts.

We often give chocolate bunnies and eggs to our friends and family as gifts for Easter. Easter is an annual holiday that is largely based around eggs of all kinds, and it has become traditional for people to give each other gifts to spread the joy on this day. These gifts are most commonly various types of sweets that are shaped like eggs.

Another good Easter gift is a big, fluffy man-made bunny. Children will want to hold the bunny when they go to sleep, while adults will also enjoy holding a soft bunny. Such a gift allows you to tell the recipient that you love them in a special way, and they you want them to have a happy Easter.

You can use plants that way too. Potted blossoms are so much nicer than a handful of daisies that will wilt before long. Give a gift of tulips, irises, lilies, or even just some greenery with a little bird sitting on it. Any home looks warmer and more beautiful with colorful plants.

The Easter lily is a very popular Easter flower thanks to it’s graceful form and tantalizing scent. When selecting an Easter lily, look for medium sized, compact plants with good proportions (not unusually short or tall), which look pleasant when viewed from any angle, perfect for a centerpiece. These flowers may often be found in stores, or just as easily delivered in a box with a personal message and information on care and flower arrangement, beautiful and on time for Easter.

Another ideal gift for kids and adults alike: a Doorstop, available with rooster designs. It has a classic appeal, is useful in any home, and brings a touch of spring to the home year-round. Decorations make great Easter gifts, and the range of Easter decor on the market is large. For instance, adorable seasonal wreaths to hang on the door to welcome guests over Easter Holiday. These are hand made with fresh foliage, herbs, and moss, and decorated with Easter Nests.
