2. Putting - keep your head still during a putt, and avoid looking where the ball is going once you’ve hit the putt. Why? Moving your head hampers accuracy. To putt well, you have to keep your head down and steady throughout the stroke.
3. The good news is that if you practice correctly you do not need to spend large amounts of time practicing. Use your practice time wisely and you will find yourself getting better at golf spending minimal time practicing. Developing the right swing mechanics is very important if you want to become a better golfer. If you are a beginner then it is a very good idea to get a few basic lessons from a local golf professional. Remember that you do not need to have a perfect swing in order to shoot low scores.
4. Be Tension Free - Relax your hands at address. If they’re tense or tight, the rest of your body will be tense. Lighten up on your grip, then relax your hands, arms and body.
5. Work on swinging to a beat. Pace yourself when you practice. Think of your swing as a one-two motion. One is your backswing. Two is your downswing. You can even say something like “one-two” during the swing. “Back and through,” “low and slow,” or “turn and turn” also work.
