How to hide stretch marks? Stretch marks are the bind of women, bodybuilders and any person who has suffered from fast weight gain. Those nasty little red lines that fade almost into a become a veritable nightmare when it comes to wearing beach-wear, or nightwear that is even remotely revealing; however, if you know how to take care of yourself, then it really is not so much as a ‘how do I hide stretch marks’ but more of a, ‘I can hide these!’. OK, so you aren’t going to be able to remove them completely from sight overnight, but you can definitely reduce how vividly they appear when you’re wearing something revealing.

Want to know the ironic part? The stretch marks we hate so much come from some of the activities we love to do, like eating, and even some of the activities we do to look good at the beach, like weightlifting. Imagine how depressed you have to be when you spend all this time lifting weights only to find out your newly acquired muscles came with some baggage - stretch marks. That’s why it’s important to help out our bodies as much as possible by eating and drinking the right kinds and quantities of food and drink. Eating and drinking the right stuff helps keep our skin “rubbery” aka elastic, which means no stretch marks.

I probably get ten or twenty emails a day asking me if I have any household remedies to get rid of stretch marks, so let me share a few here. These aren’t guaranteed, and their success rate depends on who you talk to. My mom swears by the olive oil way, but my mother-in-law and my sister both say she’s crazy…they say egg whites are the number one cure. I’ve also heard vitamin E creams, cocoa butter, shea butter, and jojoba…just to name a few. The secret to these homemade remedies is (a. a little luck or a prayer and (b. correct application. Aim for that period in time right after you bathe or shower…perfect time to get your skin to soak up the ingredients necessary to fight the battle against stretch marks.

If you’re in a bind and need to cover your stretch marks pronto, look no further than your makeup bag. Grab some face powder of foundation, dab it on, and repeat until your stretch marks fade away into invisibility. Presto, stretch marks are gone! Want another solution? Sunless tanning creams are a big hit these days, and a dab of the right shade will render your stretch marks indistinguishable from the rest of your skin in minutes. Neither of these two options is a long-term solution, they are merely meant to cover your problem until you can get the products to get rid of them for good.
