Those who are able to think very clearly about issues tend to do better with emotions and their actions then the rest of us. Yet there isn’t a person out there who hasn’t been confused by a situation from time to time. Our heart and our mind don’t always collaborate when it comes to the path we should take in relation to the issue. This can result in us having a hard time focusing as well as being emotionally drained. Some people stay in this mode all the time though because they never do come to the conclusion that they are confused about what is going on.

You have to be able to effectively be able to solve your problems so that you can find your direction in life. You need to work through the confusion that does surface for you so you can still see your goals down the road. Of course all of this is much easier to say then it is to accomplish. It is too important though for you to blow it off or to give up working towards it. Ask yourself specific questions and give honest answers. This way you can effectively solve your own problems.

The sooner you can train your mind to focus on effective problem solving, they less time it is going to take you to achieve your goals. You will have to practice being able to focus your questions in a certain way. This process will help you to become more effective when it comes to problem solving. It will help you to arrive at solid answers that are very clear to you.

2. What Do I Want?

1. What is the real problem you need to solve?

2. What is it that you really want to achieve as the result of the situation?

3. What methods can you incorporate to ensure are able to get those types of results from the situation?

Take a short period of time to answer these three questions for yourself. Don’t analyze the answers you come up with. Write them down so you can review them in more detail later on. Your answers may be things you can physically do or mentally do for yourself. Emotions that a person has as well as their Spiritual beliefs can affect the answers that they come up with.

1. What is the true problem you are faced with? You need the answer to this to be very detailed. It needs to be a true reflection of what the underlying problems are. You don’t want to be listing just the symptoms of those issues.

1.What do I want

1. What specifically do you want from the situation? 2. What specifically do you not want to get from the situation? 3. Make sure you are going after the exact opposite of what you don’t want to happen. If you leave it open to chance then that could be what happens for you.

3.What is the opposite of what I do not want (listed above)

Again, write down this list fast, not judging the accuracy or feasibility of what you are writing. Now combine your lists in the first and last column. This will give you a much clearer focus on your goal.

3.How Do I Get What I Want

You can do yourself a favor and learn from the failures as well as the accomplishments of others. You don’t have to go all the way back to the drawing board in order to be successful. Find out what has worked for other people with your same situation. You will likely find several methods that have been tried and worked well. You can then choose the one that seems to evoke the most positive emotions from you. Taking such shortcuts to establish your goal can allow you to focus more of your time on what steps you are going to have to take in order to reach those goals.

To get what you want you may want to ask yourself Jim Rohn’s three questions:

1.What could I do? 2.What could I read? 3.Who could I ask?

If you want good things to happen to you, go out there and make them happen. You will definitely need to learn how to effectively troubleshoot though. If you are able to go through the right process of problem solving you can get to the core of the issues you face. This is going to allow you to evaluate your options and choose a course of action to follow.
