Summer is the time a lot us have family and friends visit us. It usually involves a lot of planning and preparing. Do not forget the most important, obtaining health insurance for your visitors. There are many options available, spend time to carefully weigh them.

Visitor plans provide prescription drug coverage. This coverage is limited to new injuries or sickness that manifests for the first time during the visit. You must advise your visitors to bring extra doses of medications they use regularly for any chronic/ongoing condition. They may not be able to find the exact medicines in the country they visit.
Become familiar with the PPO network the insurance follows and identify doctors and hospitals you can visit. This will ensure you get the maximum benefit. Make sure you follow the protocol established by your insurance provider. Some types of benefits (like surgery, hospitalization) may require pre certification.
