Bipolar is a mental illness where a patient suffering from it jumps back and forth - from extreme happiness to intense sadness, often, at random and without warning. These mood jumps happen regularly on a daily basis.

The bipolar disorder is serious mental ailment that needs to be given treatment right away. If left untreated, the worst possible result will be the patient committing suicide. Sometimes, in less severe cases, a change in lifestyle can actually be very beneficial to a bipolar person. A lot of the anxiety that lead to bipolar disorder comes from stress. The simple awareness of stressful activities and avoiding them can possibly be all a person needs to get better.

Simple relaxation through vacations or short trips also greatly help a bipolar person cope with everyday life. Meditation and yoga are also said to be very effective in calming a person down especially when confronted with stressful situations.
