Using Audio to Boost Conversions
In an earlier article, I explained how you can use audio to collect and share testimonials. Audio is also a great tool to increase conversions. If you’re looking to boost sales, audio could be the secret weapon you’ve been looking for.
Spend an hour adding audio to three key parts of your website and watch conversions soar.
The best audio tool that I have found is the Audio Generator at this site: newaudiomarketing.com. It’s easy to use and very powerful. You don’t just have to add audio to three areas of your site - most people end up adding even more audio once they find out how easy it really is!
Try adding audio to the following areas for better conversions:
The squeeze page. You don’t have to write new copy - simply read the copy that is already there. Try something like, “Hi, this is Ray Edwards. Welcome to my site. I’d love to explain how my services can help you increase sales and boost conversions. To find out more, just fill in your name and e-mail address, then click the submit button.” That’s a crude example, just off the top of my head, but this shows you how your audio should sound. Make it autoplay on your squeeze page so clients hear it right away. You may wonder if autoplay is annoying. Well, it may annoy a few clients, but it will also help you sell to a whole lot of clients. I’ve tested this on my clients’ sites - sites for Jeff Walker, Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and Alex Mandossian, among others. In most cases, adding audio autoplay gets higher opt-in rates. Amazing!
Your sales page. Add audio to the “Guarantee” section of your sales page. People feel more comfortable if they can hear you talking about your guarantee in your own voice, and this will give you a huge boost in conversions.
Order Page. Once again, I recommend using autoplay audio. When people click that Buy button and they reach the shopping cart or order page, they hear something like this: “Congratulations on making a great decision to buy. Remember, you’re getting the following three benefits when you act now. Here’s what you need to do. Just put in your name and your billing information. Double-check your credit card information to make sure it’s correct before you click that submit button.” Using an audio similar to this will increase the number of completed orders on your order page.
