Make More Money With a Nutrition Education
No matter what your career, you can increase the value of your nutrition education. We all know that as time goes on and the more experience we gain, the more valuable we become. Now we can add to this the fact that we live in an industrial society with increasing degenerative diseases and obesity. At the same time medical care and insurance are becoming more out of reach for the average person.
It is likely this trend will continue as the population becomes older, “baby boomers” strive to stay healthy and many wanting to ward off disease. The President’s Cancer Panel is even recommending that insurance cover nutritional counseling, wellness programs and that the government take a more active role in providing better access to healthy foods. Those in the Nutrition field will be helping to provide nutrition education to the population while filling jobs inside of the wellness programs.
In light of the fact that toxins and chemicals are abundant in modern societies, researchers and others are becoming more aware that people need to help their bodies. In fact, a study on infant’s cord blood collected from American hospitals in 2005 by the American Red Cross showed an average of 208 chemicals in the blood. This disheartening news prompted Congress to send a letter to the American Chemical Council encouraging them to begin studies on the toxicity of these chemicals.
Cleansing our bodies and eating healthier foods is becoming more important than ever. As people are becoming more aware of these stuides, they are more proactive in their own health instead of waiting for disease to set in. Because of this, the Nutrition Professional is in higher demand.
It is important to update your education and stay in touch with the fact that body cleansing and holistic health are becoming more popular. We must learn how the body cleansing process works in with the health of our population. We must also teach how food affects our body and it’s natural ability to cleanse, and how foods may suppress our natural immune system.
As you can see, nutritional counseling is an increasingly valuable service. Increase your value even more by educating yourself in holistic-based therapies including herbal and dietary supplementation and body work modalities such as lymphatic drainage or massage therapy. Most importantly, research cleansing the body and using colon cleansing programs and herbs. You will benefit your clients while they thank you for it.
