Modern Face Lifting Techniques: Laser Face Lift Technology

One of the most popular forms of non-surgical facial beauty procedures nowadays is the laser face lift. Rather than lifting or stretching the facial skin, this procedure minimizes wrinkles and fine lines in specific parts of the face. The laser face lift procedure makes use of carbon dioxide (CO2) laser technology, which sends a form of heat energy past the skin and into the facial tissue underneath. The heat energy then shrinks the collagen beneath the skin, making it firmer. The laser also reduces skin tissues that are wrinkled and damaged. This process makes the skin above it contract and results in a smoother wrinkle-free facial skin.

The procedure uses a laser technology that relies on carbon dioxide. The heat energy that reaches the facial tissue shrinks the collagen to make the skin firmer. The laser also fixes the wrinkled and damaged parts of your skin through contraction. Afterwards, you can start bragging your smoother and softer skin to your friends.

Unlike other facial lifting methods, using a laser controls the depth of the treatment. The procedure can be performed on the whole face or on specific spots of it, such as the forehead, eye area, cheeks and mouth area. Besides being a very effective way of removing the age from your skin, the procedure does not hurt. Unlike a surgical face lift, going with laser will not cause you to bleed or scar because it does not involve scalpels and incisions. Since no surgery is required, the process can carry on without general anesthesia. This is a good thing because it immediately eliminates all possible side effects associated with having anesthesia. Perhaps the most important benefit of laser face lift is the shorter time required for recovery. Compared to the days and weeks you might need after a surgery, laser technology only asks for about an hour or two.

Although laser face lifts are less painful than the traditional face lift, undergoing one also has some risks involved. First, laser procedure can cause skin burns if the laser temperature is not kept at a safe level. To prevent this, a cooling spray can be used. Another risk is that laser face lifts cause the skin to be sensitive and slightly discolored after the procedure.
