Allergies and Deodorant: What Is The Deal?
People use deodorant so they will not have body odor. People don’t like to be smelly. But what happens if what they are using is something they are actually allergic to?
Will you smell forever? Whatever will you do? No, there is relief. There are always other things that you can use to combat the odor. But, how will you know if you are really allergic to your deodorant?
If you can’t be sure that you are allergic to your deodorant, there are symptoms you can look for. After applying your deodorant, you may notice a rash, or a series of red and inflamed bumps. Or you may just notice something out of the ordinary, you should stop using the deodorant immediately.
By changing deodorants, the wearer may now find that all is well. If however, there is still a problem with the use of the deodorant; that can be eliminated. There are other alternatives to wearing a deodorant.
After carefully testing you, your doctor may say you just need to change brands. Yours may be too harsh to your body. If after changing brands, you still experience some problems, there are other alternatives.
If you feel that yours is an allergy to the deodorant, there are some other things that you can try to prevent the odor. You might try some baby powder, or talc under your arms. This keeps you smelling fresh and will also prevent excessive sweating.
Allergies can be to a number of things. It may not be your deodorant at all, but the soap you are bathing in, or washing your clothes in. When you have exercised and are sweaty, the chemicals used in the washing powder may react on your skin.
If you still are not sure whether you have an allergy to your deodorant or not, you may want to see an allergist. He can determine if it is indeed your deodorant or maybe the soap you are washing your clothes in. Having an allergy to your deodorant is not the end of the world, you have other alternatives to staying fresh all day long. So, don’t sweat the small stuff!
