For most people, working from the comfort of their home is one of the things they dream of. Even people who already have jobs want to earn a little extra money by working from their homes. Many entrepreneurs have become successful businessmen just by working weekly from the comfort of their homes. But unfortunately there are lots of scams which make home businesses a non viable source of income.
As this is a sought after source of income various scams have cropped up. People set up false ways to earn money sitting at home, to lure innocent people into paying for stuff and services which end up being useless or nonexistent. And in turn they get rich.
One of the oldest scams has been the one where the person had to mail envelopes to other people containing leaflets on behalf of someone .But the unsuspecting person who has been promised a dollar per envelope, isnt paid any money and the sole transaction takes place between the other two parties.
The second method of scamming people is to sell them coding and billing software worth hundreds promising them with work from medical outfits. But this work never comes and the person ends up having wasted hundreds of dollars. The scammers fool people, by giving them, lists of prospective clients in their area for a fee.
The thing that people need to know that buying these software which cost hundreds of dollars, will get them no work. Firstly, you need to have a license and training for medical coding and billing. And also medical outfits dont give this work to lone individuals.
A third type of scam is one which wastes your money as well as your time. These are the one s where you buy assembly kits and submit the assembled product back in exchange of money. What happens is that the company will reject the assembled product citing poor quality, and the person ends up having g lost a lot o f money and time.
Data entry scams are currently the most popular and growing home business scams. Sitting at home filling out forms and spreadsheets in hope of earning money but ending up having wasted time is one of the most common results of such a venture. Though there are genuine data entry firms but such are hard to find. Also your work is often rejected citing poor quality and you receive no money.
So the person seeking a viable home business will have to do his own homework regarding which company is legitimate and which is not. But one thing is sure, even if you are working from the comfort of your home you will have to work hard.
