Beyond simply looking in the phone book there are many ways to find the Rottweiler breeders in your area and there are many helpful resources you can use to limit your search to just the breeders you want to deal with.

All you need to do is have a resource with you that can guide you through the process and that is exactly what this article is intended to be. Your first place to look for good breeders is the Internet.

You can find anything you are looking for on the Internet and if you are lucky some of your local breeders may have websites you can look at along with their contact information. You may also want to check out the national breeder registries like the American Kennel Club as well to help you increase your search.

Your vet is going to have invaluable information for you all through you pet’s life and you can start to utilize your vet in your search for good Rottweiler breeders. More often than not your vet is going to offer you a list of Rottweiler breeders that they consider to be reputable and that you can choose from to find your new pet. Your vet is just as interested in the health of your new dog as you are so you can trust their advice and use it to find a good breeder.

Many times a reputable breeder, and not so reputable breeder, will advertise in the local newspaper. You can use these ads as more information for your collection but always keep track of which breeder you find in which paper for future reference. The breeder may ask you what paper you saw them in for their own advertising purposes or you may want to let the paper know about a less than reputable breeder.

Sometimes Rottweiler breeders can be difficult people to get a hold of. The nature of Rottweiler breeding can lend to some shady characters looking for dogs so many breeders prefer to only do business with referrals from people they know.

Sometimes the best Rottweiler breeders can be the most difficult people to get a hold of so be persistent and try and get that referral to that one breeder that will supply you with the dog you want.

Rottweiler breeders can sometimes be difficult to find because of the nature of their business but if you get just a little creative then you can find the information you are looking for. It is always a good idea to get as much information as you possibly can so that you can talk to as many breeders as you can. The more breeders you talk to the better off you are.
